Is it like Catan?
Yes, we were inspired by the famous game Catan: you explore a hex board, gather resources, build and trade. Vulkania is an independent work with its own volcanic island, art and rules; it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Catan or its owners.
Is it free?
The download is free and you can play against bots and in local wifi rooms with no cost or limit. Online, joining a friend's room is free up to 3 games a week; to create online rooms, play without that limit and use quick match you need a one-time purchase.
Which devices?
Android, iOS and desktop.
How many players?
Over local wifi, 2 to 6 players, free. Online, 3 to 4 players; online tables for 5 and 6 will come later as an expansion.
Does it use a lot of data?
No: a whole game is around 1 MB.
